PORTUGAL FASHON’s mission is to promote designer fashion nationally and internationally, discovering new talents, creating synergies between designers and industry, and increasingly positioning Portugal as a country of creativity and tradition, design and production.

Assuming itself as a platform, PORTUGAL FASHION aims to position Portugal as a differentiated “fashion hub” at a European and world level, through the organization of a “fashion week” with global prominence, and the growing international reputation of Portuguese brands, sustained by the added value of the combination innovation / tradition / design / quality of production.

Created in 1995 by ANJE – National Association of Young Entrepreneurs, PORTUGAL FASHION has been nurturing a fashion culture in the country and has operated a paradigm shift regarding the national textile and clothing sector, through a concerted strategy to bring together industry and creators. The project works in partnership with the ATP – Portuguese Textile Association, but also with the various sector players of the Portuguese fashion ecosystem.

PORTUGAL FASHION has been promoting an international itinerary since 1999, supporting the presence of Portuguese designers in fashion weeks, namely through the organization of fashion shows and happenings in official calendars, but also showrooms and commercial actions.

Paris (where it promotes fashion shows and commercial presences since 2000), Milan and London are the fashion weeks with the largest number of events promoted by PORTUGAL FASHION, in partnership with local official entities. But the project of internationalization of Portuguese fashion already has more than 200 international events, in cities as varied as New York, Madrid, Barcelona, Istanbul, Vienna or São Paulo.

Both in Portugal and abroad, the investment in young creators also stands out as one of the pillars of PORTUGAL FASHION. In this sense, in October 2010, PORTUGAL FASHION launched BLOOM, a platform for young creators, which, besides design contests and permanent scouting actions, promotes fashion shows, presentations, showrooms, pop ups, industrial partnerships and business collaborations, as well as learning and acceleration programs, including internships, mentoring actions, and commercial support.   https://portugalfashion.com/en/sobre-nos/
